I have started getting some feedback on this site and would like to say thank you to my friends over at Open Source Zongo.
Their website is currently under construction, but when it comes up you really should check them out. They are amazing people, bringing technology and open source to our Zongo communities.
Here is their official mission:
We are on a mission to bridge the digital literacy gap in Zongo Communities.
Through education, collaboration and innovative technology ways in one zongo community at a time.
They have given some good feedback as well. I’m going to try to add some more pictures to the lessons which will (hopefully) help to explain things better. They also asked for video content, but right now I don’t have the capability to do that. Maybe one day.
They are a very hardworking and commited to team.
Here they are busy teaching Ghanaian youth in the Zongo communities, here on OpenSteeMap and how to map out our local environment. This work is essential. We all want very Ghanaian child to get a chance in life. Thank you so much for what you do!
One very important task is to empower our young ladies to be able to contribute positively the the future of the country. Great job, guys!
This is from a recent training session on Digital Literacy Skills, where parents were invited to come and join the students. I absolutely love to see this. It’s great to see parents taking an interest in their children’s education.
Guys, ayekoo! You have done well and I pray for long life for each and every one of you!
